Flipping the Classroom on a Shoestring Budget
Flipped classes use video to convey information outside of class while reserving class time for activities that build and reinforce students’ understanding. This approach has many advantages, but the time, effort, and resources involved can seem daunting.
Professors Helen Buettner and Waheed Bajwa of the School of Engineering discuss their experience flipping classrooms without extensive investments of time or money, within the confines of traditional lecture-hall spaces. They discuss their struggles, successes, and lessons learned.
Presented by Humanities Plus: An initiative of the School of Arts and Sciences.
